Overview
- Atari announced the Atari x Activision Collection on Wednesday, Aug. 26, and opened pre-orders for 12 Standard cartridges, the Treasure Deluxe set, and a Complete/Ultimate bundle.
- The collection reproduces 39 individual physical cartridges that are designed to run on original Atari 2600 and 7800 consoles as well as Atari’s modern 2600+ and 7800+ systems.
- The product uses a three-tier pricing plan: Standard Edition cartridges at $34.99 each, four Deluxe Box Sets at $249.99 each, and an Ultimate Complete bundle priced at $999.96.
- Atari will ship the first Standard Editions and the Treasure Collection in November 2026, with the Speed Collection arriving in spring 2027, Secrets in summer 2027, and Victory in fall 2027.
- The release is aimed at collectors and preservationists, bundling period-accurate cartridges with new full-color manuals, colorful cart variants, woven patches, enamel pins, premium packaging, and a promised additional collector item in the Ultimate set.
