Overview
- Aston Martin introduced the DB12 S as the sportiest version of its DB12 grand tourer, adding a coupe and a Volante convertible to the lineup.
- The 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 now produces 690 horsepower with 590 lb-ft of torque, cutting the 0-60 mph claim to about 3.4 seconds after launch-control and shift updates.
- Engineers retuned the dampers, recalibrated throttle and the ZF eight-speed, enlarged the rear anti-roll bar, added rear camber, and refined the electronic rear differential to boost steering feel and cornering stability.
- Aero and cooling changes include a fixed rear spoiler, a deeper multi-tier front splitter, and new louvered hood vents to increase downforce and vent heat from the V8.
- Standard kit now includes carbon-ceramic brakes, 21-inch wheels on Michelin Pilot Sport S tires, and Apple’s CarPlay Ultra, with prices from $272,000 in the U.S. and £205,000 in the U.K., and an optional titanium exhaust trimming about 75 pounds.
