Overview
- On February 14, centralized observances were held at Bongaon Chola Higher Secondary School in Golaghat and at Kamalabari Academy in Majuli.
- Students from 16 schools in Golaghat and 40 in Majuli took part in the expanded effort.
- Local NGOs GRASS and Ashroy partnered with the student group Chorai Bandhob to scale up activities across the districts.
- Organisers shifted focus from last year’s terracotta platforms to planting and conserving native, fruit‑bearing trees to support natural nesting.
- Outreach engaged many pupils from Adivasi tea‑garden families through exhibitions, dance dramas and seminars on nest protection.
