Assam Rifles Seize 80,000 Meth Tablets on Indo-Myanmar Border, Four Arrested

  • They intercepted four people who had entered India by crossing the Koladyne River from Myanmar on a boat.
  • Approximately 80,000 Yaba methamphetamine tablets weighing about 3.952 kg and valued at around Rs 11.85 crore were recovered.
  • The arrested are Indian national Lairamlaina, 40, and three Myanmar nationals identified as Chaimoungthein, 17, Thanlaing, 17, and Thanlaigwon, 15.
  • The seized narcotics and the detainees were handed over to Bungtlang Police Station for further legal proceedings.
