Assam Disburses 1,06,905 Digital Land Pattas as CM Signals Mission Basundhara 4

The drive now counts nearly 10 lakh families with formal land rights.

Overview

  • The state-level rollout at Deuri Beel in Dhemaji delivered pattas across Assam, including 44,700 recipients in Dhemaji district.
  • Digital pattas and allotment letters went to indigenous landless families as well as religious, educational and cultural institutions.
  • SVAMITVA surveys have been completed in 769 of 903 previously unsurveyed villages, enabling pattas for more than 30,000 families.
  • Forest land rights were granted to 538 residents of the Subansiri and Jiadhal Reserved Forests under the Forest Rights Act, 2006.
  • Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said a fourth phase will launch soon to cover left-out families, with additional phases planned and about 80% of land issues already resolved, and he indicated NDA seat-sharing talks should conclude by March 10.
