Army Expands Case Against Former Fort Hood OB-GYN to 146 UCMJ Specifications Involving 73 Alleged Victims
A new preliminary hearing will test whether the expanded UCMJ case moves to a general court-martial.
Overview
- Army prosecutors, who added counts Tuesday, now list 146 specifications across six UCMJ charges against Maj. Blaine McGraw.
- The specifications include sexual abuse and assault, indecent recording, conduct unbecoming, attempted sexual assault, extramarital sexual misconduct, and disobeying a superior officer.
- Prosecutors say 72 patients were filmed or touched during exams at Fort Hood’s Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center from October 2023 to October 2025, and one woman was recorded at an off-post home.
- A new preliminary hearing will be scheduled to decide if the case goes to a general court-martial, and prosecutors say the investigation remains open in coordination with Army CID.
- Outside the military case, more than 80 women have sued in Bell County and others filed federal tort claims, while McGraw’s lawyer says the new charges stem from the lawsuit and court records show he is representing himself in the civil case from jail.
