Overview
- Bielefeld announced on Thursday that they have signed 26-year-old Henri Koudossou from FC Augsburg on a long-term permanent deal.
- Augsburg will receive a mid six-figure fee that can rise to roughly €1 million with performance-related bonuses and kept a percentage of any future sale.
- Koudossou spent the 2025/26 season on loan at 1. FC Nürnberg, where his market value fell from about €2 million to €1.2 million and Nürnberg opted not to keep him because of the price.
- The Munich-born defender joined Augsburg in 2020, has had loan spells at Austria Lustenau and ADO Den Haag, can play both flanks and has been hampered at times by muscular and ankle injuries.
- The transfer gives Augsburg immediate funds while preserving upside through the sell-on clause and gives Bielefeld a tracked target to fill a defensive wing role; the exact contract length has not been disclosed and Koudossou’s fitness will determine his early impact.
