Overview
- ARK Invest, which disclosed Thursday trades in daily filings, shifted money from AMD into Meta and Alphabet across five exchange-traded funds.
- Across those funds the firm sold 172,305 AMD shares worth about $58.09 million, following a sale of more than 215,000 AMD shares the previous Friday.
- Fund-by-fund records show the ARK Innovation ETF bought 43,953 Alphabet shares and 26,753 Meta shares while selling 93,698 AMD shares.
- The buys came after earnings reports in which Alphabet beat forecasts and lifted 2026 capital spending to $180–$190 billion as its stock rose 9.9%, while Meta also beat but fell 8.5% after guiding $125–$145 billion for 2026 spending.
- Analysts and fund watchers see the AMD trims as locking in gains after the stock jumped about 68% over the past month on AI data-center demand, with ARK reducing exposure before AMD reports results on May 5.
