Argonaut Announces Croc 2: Kingdom of the Gobbos Remaster for Q4 2026

Argonaut greenlit the sequel after last year’s stronger-than-expected Croc sales, promising modern controls, visual upgrades plus an in-game archival Croc2pedia.

Overview

  • Argonaut revealed Croc 2: Kingdom of the Gobbos on July 29–30, 2026 and says it is targeting a Q4 2026 release window.
  • The remaster is planned for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and 4, Xbox Series X|S and PC on Steam and GOG.
  • Gameplay updates include a new triple jump and revised controls, while the original’s open 3D platforming is preserved across more than 40 levels with vehicle segments such as minecarts, cars, speedboats, a hang glider and a wooden airplane.
  • The release will feature a Croc2pedia, an in-game digital museum containing unseen development materials, cut content and interviews with original and remaster teams.
  • Argonaut says the first Croc remaster’s commercial success enabled this follow-up, though the studio warns Croc 2 poses extra technical challenges because it used a different original engine and it has not announced a firm release date, pricing or physical editions.
