Overview
- Argonaut confirmed a digital-only remaster of Croc 2 for Nintendo Switch due in Q4 2026 and released an initial trailer to mark the project’s public reveal.
- The studio restored the sequel’s original development subtitle, ‘Kingdom of the Gobbos,’ and says the remaster is already in active development.
- Gameplay updates include a new triple jump, preserved classic moves, more than 40 levels, and vehicle segments such as minecarts, cars, speedboats, a hang glider, and a wooden airplane.
- The release will include an in-game museum called the Croc2pedia that collects design documents, cut content, and interviews to document the game’s creation and remaster process.
- Argonaut says the decision follows strong sales and reception for last year’s Croc remaster and that Croc 2’s different original engine has required extra technical work, which may shape platform and edition plans going forward.
