- Only farm-linked niches grew, with agricultural machinery up 5.1% and bodies and trailers up 3.9%, while foundries led the fall with a 13.6% slide.
- Jobs in the sector fell 2.3% from a year earlier and 0.1% from March, and half of firms do not expect better output in the next three months.
