Argentina’s 30-Day Peso Deposit Rates Tick Up as Banks Push Higher Online Yields

The BCRA’s daily comparator shows large lenders clustered near 23–27.5% TNA, with select digital and regional banks posting offers around 32–33.5%.

Overview

  • Banco Nación lifted its online 30-day rate to 27% TNA, while Macro leads major banks at about 27.5%, according to BCRA data for Jan. 29–30.
  • Smaller and digital institutions advertise top online rates such as Crédito Regional CF at 33.5%, Banco Voii at 33.25%, Meridian at 33.25%, Bica at 33% and CMF at 32.25%.
  • Banks pay notably less for in-branch placements, with examples showing roughly 20.5% TNA in branches versus about 27% through homebanking.
  • Media calculators highlight real-world returns, including about AR$19.12 million needed at 27% TNA to earn roughly AR$440,000 in 30 days at Banco Nación.
  • A slight late-January rise in posted yields comes after the BCRA scrapped the minimum deposit-rate floor in 2024, spurring wider dispersion and channel-based pricing.
