Argentina Launches SUBAST.AR Auctions for Unassigned Procrear Homes

The Economy Ministry set a single digital bidding system to liquidate the dissolved trust’s inventory and use the proceeds to cover pending obligations.

Overview

  • All sales will run exclusively on the state SUBAST.AR platform with at least 30 days’ public notice and base prices set by the National Appraisal Tribunal.
  • Eligible bidders must have an Argentine domicile, prove tax and social-security solvency, declare the lawful origin of funds, avoid politically exposed status, and post a prior guarantee.
  • Auctions adjudicate automatically after five minutes without a higher offer, and winners must pay 100% of the price plus deed costs before transfer via the Government Notary Office.
  • The inventory includes finished but never-adjudicated units and vacant lots across several provinces, with AABE and the Public Works Secretariat releasing calls progressively and first rounds reported for before year-end.
  • Current Procrear borrowers keep their original loan terms under Banco Hipotecario, as the auctions focus solely on residual assets from the dissolved fund.
