- Resolution SE 50/2026 opens a national and international procurement administered by CAMMESA, which will act as buyer of available storage capacity.
- The schedule sets technical and administrative offers for May 8, economic bids opening June 5, awards on June 19, contract signatures from June 25, contractual counting from January 1, 2027, and commercial operation by December 31, 2029.
- Projects must be stand-alone BESS sized between 10 MW and 150 MW at specified nodes and guarantee at least four consecutive hours of delivery per full discharge cycle.
- The 700 MW is allocated to regions outside AMBA with a focus on weaker areas: NEA 250 MW, Litoral 220 MW, Buenos Aires (excluding AMBA) 150 MW, NOA 120 MW, Centro 100 MW, and La Pampa 50 MW.
