Overview

  • The Ministry of Security published Resolution 468/2026 in the Boletín Oficial on Monday, July 6, making the new protocol effective immediately across Argentine airports.
  • The protocol replaces the 2018 framework and requires all Policía de Seguridad Aeroportuaria (PSA) personnel to follow the updated procedures.
  • Each PSA unit must designate specialized 'oficiales referentes' to serve as on-site experts for trafficking alerts and coordination.
  • Operational annexes and the roster of designated officers will be kept reserved to avoid alerting criminal networks and to protect victims and investigations.
  • The Dirección Nacional de Investigaciones de Delitos de Trata y Contra la Integridad Sexual will monitor application, lead periodic updates and run mandatory training, a change meant to respond to more sophisticated, transnational trafficking methods.
