Argentina Formalizes February Pension Increase as Peru Sets ONP Raise With New Cap

Both governments pair inflation-linked adjustments with targeted limits that decide who gets full, partial or no supplemental support.

Overview

  • Argentina’s ANSES issued Resolution 21/2026, confirming a 2.85% increase from February and setting the minimum benefit at AR$359,254.35 and the maximum at AR$2,417,441.63.
  • ANSES will continue the AR$70,000 refuerzo for low-income retirees in February, applied variably so the total payment does not exceed the cap defined by the minimum plus the bonus.
  • Because of the extended Carnival holiday, ANSES shifted the February payment calendar, with minimum-benefit DNI 0–4 paid Feb 9–13, DNI 5–9 from Feb 18–20, and higher-benefit groups from Feb 23–27.
  • Peru’s ONP confirmed an SNP pension increase of up to S/100 with a new S/1,000 ceiling, benefiting more than 237,000 retirees under Decreto Supremo N.º 330-2025-EF.
  • ONP will deposit February pensions by surname (A–C Feb 6; D–L Feb 9; M–Q Feb 10; R–Z Feb 11) and include a reintegro for January differences, with an annual cost above S/311 million financed from the ONP budget.
