Argentina Employers Issue Income Tax Refunds in April and May Paychecks

Overview

• Employers finished the annual Ganancias settlement by April 30 and must return any over-withholding from 2025 in the first payroll they process afterward.
• The final 2025 true-up used updated brackets and deductions that rose about 28.6%, below the 31.5% inflation rate, which led to balances in favor for many workers.
• Employees who reported deductible expenses and family dependents through the Siradig form by March 31 had those amounts recognized in the year-end calculation.
• Refunds can also include the 30% charge on foreign currency purchases and card spending abroad when the worker requested that restitution through ARCA.
• Roughly 800,000 employees are expected to see money back, and the broader tax calendar now sets company filings for May 13–15 and individual returns for June 11–16.
