- Decree 116/2026, published on February 27, takes effect March 1 and revises the fuel-tax timetable set by Decree 617/2025.
- For March transactions, unleaded and virgin gasoline face fixed rises of $17.385 (ICL) and $1.065 (IDC) per liter, while gasoil increases $14.884 (ICL) and $1.696 (IDC).
- The measure preserves regional treatment with an additional $8.059 ICL on gasoil in the Patagonia zone and specified areas such as Malargüe and Patagones.
- Outlets estimate the partial adjustment lifts pump prices by about 1.1%, with example moves of roughly $17.38 per liter for super gasoline and $14.88 for gasoil.
- The remaining accumulated updates from 2024–2025 will begin applying on April 1, under the CPI-indexed mechanism of Law 23.966; the decree bears the signatures of Milei, Adorni and Caputo.
