Argentina and Peru Start April Pension Payouts After Benefit Update

The 2.9% inflation adjustment tightens the $70,000 top-up to a minimum-only cap.

Overview

  • Argentina's ANSES opened April payments Friday by crediting minimum-benefit retirees with DNI ending in 0 and starting Non-Contributory Pensions for DNI 0–1.
  • The government formalized that only minimum-haber retirees receive the full $70,000 bonus, higher haberes get a proportional amount, and no one exceeds a total of $450,319.31.
  • Minimum-benefit payments run by DNI from 0 through 9 between April 10 and 23, while those above the minimum are scheduled for April 24 to 30 by DNI pairs.
  • Peru's ONP began April 9 paying regime 19990 in surname order starting A–C, with home-delivery of pensions programmed for April 15 to 24.
  • ANSES also activated an April debit-card refund program that returns about 10% to 20% on purchases at participating merchants, with credits deposited automatically.
