- ARD and Bayerischer Rundfunk confirmed on Thursday that they have commissioned a third season and Timeline Production has been filming the new episodes since February 13, 2026.
- The series follows real Bavarian mountain rescue teams during live operations using bodycams and 360° cameras to capture hazardous alpine rescues.
- For season three the Bergwacht Oberstdorf will join filming while the Bergwacht Ramsau has chosen to pause its participation.
- Seasons one and two remain available in the ARD Mediathek and the producer says the new season will continue to show volunteer crews operating in challenging terrain.
- Season two logged about 5.8 million Mediathek views and the two seasons together total roughly 15 million views according to AGF, and BR plans to broadcast season two on BR Fernsehen in autumn 2026.
