Aptera Teams With RepairPal to Offer Nationwide Service Network

The deal creates a nationwide path for after-sales repairs that could reassure buyers before Aptera begins vehicle deliveries.

Overview

  • Aptera announced the partnership with RepairPal on Tuesday, July 14, giving prospective owners access to RepairPal’s network of more than 4,300 certified repair locations across the United States.
  • RepairPal will train technicians on Aptera-specific service procedures and about 200 shops in the network are already certified to handle high-voltage electric-vehicle repairs.
  • The agreement is meant to let owners schedule routine maintenance and battery or high-voltage work at independent shops rather than rely on a company-owned service network.
  • Aptera still has not shipped vehicles, has begun taking $100 refundable reservations, and remains dependent on pending Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards validation and production scale-up.
  • The partnership reduces the need for Aptera to build costly dealer infrastructure and could speed owner support if the company clears safety approvals and reaches volume production.
