Apple’s iOS 27, iPadOS 27 and macOS 27 Wallpapers Are Available as Static Downloads

Surfaced developer beta files allow users to apply full-resolution still images now, with dynamic motion versions tied to Apple’s final public releases.

Overview

  • Apple unveiled iOS 27, iPadOS 27 and macOS 27 at WWDC on Monday, and the company issued developer betas that include the new wallpaper assets.
  • Multiple outlets including iDownloadBlog and 9to5Mac extracted the wallpaper files from the developer beta and posted full-resolution static downloads sourced from iClarified and contributor @aan__x.
  • The new designs use a stylized '27' motif across iPhone, iPad and Mac variants and come in several color and contrast options, with iPad wallpapers offered in portrait and landscape and macOS labeled 'Golden Gate.'
  • System-level motion wallpaper effects will only work with Apple’s final OS builds, so static downloads cannot reproduce the dynamic movement and should be saved and applied through the Photos app or Settings on iPhone and iPad.
  • Outlets remind users that developer betas can be unstable, and they note that anyone who only wants the look can download the static images for any device now while motion-enabled versions must wait for the public release.
