- Apple unveiled first-look images and confirmed on May 27 that Last Seen will debut globally on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, with the first two episodes and weekly episodes through October 7.
- The series follows former detective Ian Ridley, now a police dispatcher, who receives a distress call from a teenage girl he believes is his daughter who vanished 11 years earlier.
- Patrick Brammall leads the cast, joined by Maxine Peake, Brendan Cowell, Daniel Henshall, Jessica Wren, Zahra Newman and newcomer Chloe Jean Lourdes.
- Kris Mrksa adapted Ryan David Jahn’s novel The Dispatcher and serves as an executive producer, with Emmy-nominated Christian Schwochow directing and also executive producing; production was filmed in Victoria, Australia.
- Last Seen joins Apple TV’s growing slate of serialized crime dramas that use staggered weekly releases to build sustained viewership, and Apple has released images but not a full trailer yet.
