Apple TV Launches Exclusive U.S. F1 Coverage in 4K for Australian Grand Prix

High-spec streams with broad access options target new U.S. fans at the Melbourne opener.

  • Apple begins a five-year U.S. rights deal this weekend, streaming every practice, qualifying, Sprint and race session on Apple TV starting with the Australian Grand Prix on March 7.
  • Broadcasts stream in 4K with Dolby Vision and 5.1 audio, offer Multiview for up to four feeds, include up to 30 alternate live angles, and provide English or Spanish commentary plus the option to watch the Sky Sports feed.
  • F1 TV Premium is included at no extra cost for U.S. Apple TV subscribers, adding access to F2, F3, F1 Academy and Porsche Supercup, with account linking available for those who prefer the F1 TV app or site.
  • U.S. viewers can watch via the Apple TV app on phones, tablets, Macs, Apple TV 4K, Vision Pro, Android, major smart TVs, Roku, Fire TV, PlayStation, Xbox and the web, with service priced at $12.99 per month or $99 per year and a seven-day free trial available, including through Prime Video Channels.
  • Apple is widening reach with free practice streams, select free altcasts on Tubi, Yahoo Sports coverage of practice and qualifying, commercial venue access via DIRECTV and EverPass, live screenings of five races in IMAX, Apple Music race audio, and real-time updates in the Apple Sports app.
