Apple TV+ Confirms June Slate Centered on Cape Fear, Sugar and Camp Snoopy

The compact lineup pairs high-profile talent with serialized releases to mix prestige drama, genre risk-taking and family animation for the summer.

Overview

  • Cape Fear will premiere on June 5 with Amy Adams and Patrick Wilson as a lawyer couple and Javier Bardem as their vengeful adversary, and Martin Scorsese and Steven Spielberg are credited as executive producers.
  • Apple describes the Cape Fear adaptation as updated for the doomscroll era with plot elements such as gaslighting, AI fakes and public shaming to reflect modern social-media risks.
  • Sugar season 2 arrives on June 19 and will roll out eight new episodes weekly through August 7 as Colin Farrell’s PI, John Sugar, chases a missing-person case that expands into a citywide conspiracy.
  • Camp Snoopy season 2 launches on June 26 as part of an expanded Peanuts summer slate, bringing more camp-based adventures for younger viewers and additional classic Peanuts content and specials later in the season.
  • Together the releases illustrate Apple TV+’s strategy of using star-driven adaptations, genre-mixing serialized shows and family franchises to broaden audience reach and pace engagement across June and July.
