Overview
- Apple began seeding first developer betas for iOS 27.2 and companion updates across iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS, visionOS and HomePod on Wednesday, September 16, starting a beta cycle that skips 27.1.
- Apple has reserved iOS 27.1 as the build for the iPhone Duo, which the company says will ship with that version when the foldable goes on sale on October 23.
- The iOS 27.2 beta exposes a redesigned Health app driven by Apple Intelligence with new Insights, Longevity, Readiness and Health Age sections, though features such as lab ordering and some personalized recommendations are not active in the early beta and will arrive later.
- The beta also adds expanded Siri AI language support for French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish and surfaces other changes like dual-camera Group FaceTime capture and Apple TV app profiles, but many AI functions will be limited by device capability and region.
