Apple Poised to Refresh iPad, Entry iPhone and High-End MacBook Pros in Early 2026

Bloomberg ties the hardware timing to macOS 26.3’s release cadence.

Overview

  • Two iPads are reportedly imminent: a 12th‑gen standard iPad moving to the A18 for Apple Intelligence support and an iPad Air upgraded to the M4, with designs otherwise unchanged.
  • The next entry model, iPhone 17e, is said to add the A19 plus Apple’s N1 Wi‑Fi/Bluetooth and C1X cellular chips and to gain MagSafe charging, with a Dynamic Island upgrade still uncertain.
  • Higher‑end MacBook Pros with M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, including a 16‑inch version, are expected in the week of March 2, reportedly aligned with the macOS 26.3 release.
  • Mac mini and Mac Studio are reported to follow with M5 chips shortly after the spring refresh, likely in April, with an M5 MacBook Air also in development.
  • Apple’s hardware realignment continues after retiring 25 legacy products in 2025, consolidating the lineup around USB‑C, newer SoCs and modern designs, as a more conversational Siri remains slated for 2026.
