- Bloomberg reported Tuesday that Apple will add an Apple Intelligence Tools panel to the Photos app in iOS 27, iPadOS 27 and macOS 27.
- Extend would let you zoom out by dragging a photo’s edges as AI generates missing scenery beyond the original frame.
- Enhance would automatically tune lighting, color and overall image quality, and Reframe would shift the viewpoint on spatial photos captured for Vision Pro.
- Processing is planned to run entirely on the device to keep images private, but internal tests show Extend and Reframe can be inconsistent, so either feature could be delayed or limited at launch.
- Apple is expected to preview the upgrades at the WWDC keynote on June 8 before a broader release later this year, a move meant to close the gap with Google and Samsung after Clean Up drew complaints about artifacts and bad fills.
