Apple Expands Creator Studio With MotionVFX and Generative AI Assistants

Built‑in MotionVFX plus generative AI assistants will speed pro creative workflows on Apple Intelligence‑capable devices in a U.S. English beta.

Overview

  • Apple announced Tuesday that a November update will add MotionVFX directly into Final Cut Pro, bringing thousands of templates, graphics, titles, transitions and new tools for rotoscoping, tracking and color grading.
  • Pixelmator Pro gains a Generate Fill tool that edits selected areas from natural‑language prompts and matches surrounding lighting, perspective and texture while using Super Resolution to upscale results.
  • Logic Pro adds a Mac‑only intelligent assistant in beta that uses Apple models and OpenAI, requires an Apple Intelligence‑capable Mac running macOS 27, and also introduces a redesigned Browser and a Stem Splitter that can isolate drum parts.
  • Keynote, Pages and Numbers receive document‑aware assistants plus Model Context Protocol (MCP) support to let external AI agents read and edit files, while Keynote will offer an open JSON‑based .keyx interchange format for developer workflows.
  • The update will be free to existing Creator Studio subscribers and available to new users at $12.99/month or $129/year with education discounts and family sharing; many AI features are beta, U.S. English only, and require macOS/iOS/iPadOS 27 on Apple Intelligence‑capable hardware with no exact November launch date yet.
