Apollo Faces Securities Class Action Over Disclosures on Epstein Ties

The case could increase pressure on Apollo following calls for an SEC review.

Overview

  • ClaimsFiler, which issued a reminder Saturday, told Apollo investors they have until May 1 to ask the court to be lead plaintiff for trades made from May 10, 2021 to Feb. 21, 2026.
  • The pending case, Feldman v. Apollo Global Management, No. 1:26-cv-01692, is filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
  • Plaintiffs say Apollo misled investors by asserting it never did business with Jeffrey Epstein, despite frequent 2010s contacts by Marc Rowan and Leon Black about company matters.
  • Those claims trace to February reports that described tax talks with Epstein, internal Apollo documents sent to him, and meetings he hosted with bankers.
  • Apollo’s shares fell more than 15% after the reports, erasing about $12 billion in market value.
