Overview
- Respawn and EA will launch the Apex Legends vs Street Fighter 6 event on Sept. 22 at 10 a.m. PT and run it through Oct. 13, with details confirmed in developer previews published Sept. 15.
- The centerpiece is Wildcard Takeover, a temporary mode that shifts combat to third-person Fighter Form driven by a Fight Gauge and ends matches with a Showdown that grants infinite Fight Gauge.
- Players can select four Street Fighter fighters in Wildcard—Ryu, Chun-Li, Akuma, and Dhalsim—each with distinct movement and special melee-focused abilities such as Hadoken projectiles, teleports, wall-run moves, and powerful finishers.
- Olympus is remixed into a Street Fighter–themed stage with Luke’s Gym, statues, arcade cabinets and destructible 'Punch Trucks,' and the event adds eight Iconic character skins plus weapon skins and an Epic Lifeline Li-Fen skin available through Zenny earned in matches.
- The crossover uses a paid event economy where Iconic skins are priced at 2,150 Apex Coins and players spend earned Zenny in an event shop, a move that tests gameplay changes while aiming to drive engagement ahead of the film release.
