A.P.C. Names Ludivine Poiblanc Artistic Director

The hire signals a push to refresh the brand’s image under L Catterton’s growth strategy.

Overview

  • A.P.C., which announced the hire Wednesday, set Poiblanc’s first presentations for May 20 in Milan and June 15 in Paris.
  • In the role, the Paris- and New York–based stylist will shape the label’s image and visual universe and lead creative direction across collections.
  • She is the first artistic director recruited from outside the company since Jean Touitou founded A.P.C. in 1987.
  • Company president Stephanie Phair said the plan targets growth by leaning on A.P.C.’s denim heritage, accessories, and ready-to-wear.
  • The appointment follows L Catterton’s 2023 majority acquisition and recent reports of restructuring and cash-flow pressures, with the Touitous retaining a minority stake.
