AP Top 25: Arizona and Michigan Stay Put, UConn Still No. 1 as Nebraska Jumps to No. 15

  • Nebraska vaulted eight spots to No. 15 after Jamarques Lawrence’s buzzer-beating 3-pointer sealed an 83-80 road win over Illinois, giving the Cornhuskers their first 11-0 start and highest ranking since 1991.
  • Duke and Iowa State also drew first-place votes in the men’s poll, and Georgia was the lone newcomer at No. 25, replacing UCLA.
  • UConn remained No. 1 in the women’s poll with 24 of 32 first-place votes, Texas stayed second with the other eight, and the top seven teams did not change.
  • Louisville climbed six spots to No. 16 in the women’s rankings, USC fell three after a 79-51 loss to UConn, and Princeton entered at No. 25.
