Anurag Kashyap Hails 'Kohrra' Season 2 After Netflix Debut

Fresh industry praise follows the Netflix return of the Punjab-set crime drama, built to continue only once its creators had more story to tell.

Kohrra Season 2 premiered on February 11 on Netflix, created and written by Gunjit Chopra, Diggi Sisodia and Sudip Sharma, and produced by A Film Squad in association with Act Three.
Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap posted an Instagram note praising the new season as "unmissable" and said he was weeping by the last episode.
In his post, Kashyap credited Netflix for letting the show "breathe" and wrote that the season was directed by two first-time filmmakers, also referring to it as Sudip Sharma’s directorial debut.
Mona Singh joins as Inspector Dhanwant Kaur and called stepping into the series exciting yet daunting given expectations after Season 1; Barun Sobti returns as ASI Amarpal Garundi with Rannvijay Singha also featuring.
Showrunner Sudip Sharma said Season 1 was conceived as self-contained and the team moved ahead only after finding more story, while preserving the series’ silence-heavy, immersive tonality.
