- Anthropic made Claude available inside Microsoft 365 through new add-ins for Word, Excel and PowerPoint, with a separate Outlook add-in now in public beta.
- Claude carries the same conversation context as users switch between apps, so a thread started in Outlook can continue in Word or PowerPoint without re-explaining the task.
- In-file actions are built in, including editing Excel cells without breaking formulas, creating native charts within a PowerPoint template, and revising Word text while keeping styles.
- In Outlook’s beta, Claude can sort unread mail, draft replies in the user’s voice, summarize long threads, read attachments, schedule meetings, and prepare a one-page brief.
- Access is limited to paid Claude tiers with enterprise admin activation required, supports Opus 4.7 and 4.6 plus Sonnet 4.6, works on web, Windows and Mac, brings Excel to iPad, and includes a two-week promotion that doubles usage.
