Anthropic Rolls Out 10 Finance AI Agents as SpaceX Deal Boosts Claude Capacity

The rollout signals a push to automate finance work that pressures legacy data vendors.

Overview

  • Anthropic introduced ten ready-to-use Claude agents for banks, insurers, asset managers and fintechs, and shares of financial-data firms slid with FactSet down about 8% and Morningstar off more than 3% as investors weighed the threat to their services.
  • A partnership with SpaceX gives Anthropic access to the Colossus One data center, which the company says will double Claude Code usage limits for paid plans, lift some peak-hour throttling and raise API ceilings to support longer, uninterrupted work.
  • The finance agents handle pitchbooks, meeting prep, earnings and filings review, financial model building and upkeep, market tracking, general-ledger reconciliation, month-end close, audit support and KYC screening, which checks customer identity for compliance.
  • Anthropic said it formed a joint venture with Blackstone, Hellman & Friedman and Goldman Sachs to roll out its software across more financial firms, aiming to speed adoption inside established workflows.
  • Bloomberg reported that Anthropic is evaluating a new funding round that could value the company at more than $900 billion, a developing step that would escalate its contest with OpenAI if it proceeds.
