ANMAT Orders Nationwide Bans on Mami Keto Foods and ‘Copito de Nieve,’ Suspends Olive Oil, Seeks Drug Recall

The nationwide bans follow findings that the affected items lack traceable sanitary registrations.

Overview

  • Dispositions 7558/2025 and 7566/2025 prohibit the elaboration, fractioning and sale of Mami Keto products and the “Copito de Nieve” dry ice-cream sweets across Argentina, including e‑commerce, for being apocryphal.
  • INAL and ANMAT determined the items lacked valid RNE/RNPA identifiers or used non‑existent numbers, preventing traceability and leading to market removals covering all presentations, lots and expiration dates.
  • The Mami Keto action began with a consumer complaint to INAL; the Copito de Nieve case was detected by Córdoba’s food‑industry control authority during provincial surveillance.
  • ANMAT also suspended production and commercialization of a well‑known olive oil after tests concluded the sample was mainly soybean oil and lacked required registration and labeling; the producer was identified as Desarrollo de Alimentos Naturales S.R.L.
  • Separately, at ANMAT’s request, the firm Drawer initiated a withdrawal of a Diclofenac Drawer lot after particles were detected in the solution, with the alert issued as a precautionary measure.
