ANMAT Bans Unregistered Bleach, Hair Products, Auto Care Lines and an Oxygen Concentrator Nationwide

Argentina's health regulator says unregistered goods pose verifiable health risks.

Overview

  • The prohibitions took effect with multiple dispositions published on February 10 in the Boletín Oficial, applying across Argentina.
  • All lots of Val Chemical common bleach were withdrawn under Disposition 341/2026, and a sanitary investigation was opened against Compañía de Poliproductos Baigó S.A. and its technical director after 60 units from a declared lot could not be accounted for.
  • Under Disposition 361/2026, every product from LG – La Gefa Cosmética VIP was barred for lacking sanitary registration, with ANMAT warning that some items may contain formaldehyde, a prohibited hair-straightening agent linked to toxic vapors and long‑term cancer risks.
  • Disposition 360/2026 halted sales of several auto-care domisanitarios from Restorer, Bully Industry, Fenix, Impactto, Marchand Car Care, Solimo Detailing Products and Sedanil due to registration irregularities, with only Fenix’s scented silicone excepted.
  • Disposition 258/2026 ordered the removal of a specific Respironics EverFLO oxygen concentrator (serial 0022092) that failed to meet requirements for medical device commercialization, citing the inability to ensure its safety or proper condition.
