ANMAT Bans Illegitimate OFF! Repellent, Outlaws ANZA Cosmetics, Recalls Antibiotic and Blocks Unregistered Devices

The regulator formalized nationwide removals through Boletín Oficial dispositions that cite unverifiable safety and origin.

Overview

  • Disposition 1476/2026 prohibits sale, use, advertising and online listings of an OFF!-branded repellent labeled entirely in Chinese after checks found no sanitary registration.
  • S.C. Johnson & Son’s Argentine unit confirmed it did not manufacture, import or register the repellent, leading ANMAT to deem the product illegitimate.
  • Through Disposition 1465/2026, ANMAT banned 21 ANZA cosmetics, citing lack of product registration and the company’s absence of authorization to operate in the cosmetics sector.
  • Disposition 1497/2026 orders the immediate recall of all lots of DANFERANE I.V. (trimethoprim + sulfamethoxazole) due to use of an unauthorized manufacturer with missing documentation.
  • Disposition 1498/2026 blocks the commercialization of VELA PORT OSTOMY ostomy bags and INSURE ONE fecal immunochemical tests found in Mendoza without national registration or a responsible holder, with authorities notified for nationwide enforcement.
