ANMAT Bans Children’s Cosmetics Lacking Health Registration Nationwide

The health regulator says the unregistered imports lack traceability, posing potential risks for children.

Overview

  • ANMAT, which published Disposición 1860/2026 on Friday, barred the sale, distribution, advertising and online listings of several children’s cosmetics across Argentina.
  • The order names lip balms, lip glosses and an eyeshadow palette from POLA AYIR, MAGIC YOUR LIFE, RPK and FAVOR BEAUTY, including Stitch and Hello Kitty items.
  • The agency classified the products as illegitimate because they carry no sanitary registration and entered outside legal import channels, so their origin and ingredients cannot be verified.
  • The measure requires online marketplaces to remove listings and it urges provincial and Buenos Aires City health authorities to step up checks in shops.
  • ANMAT asked consumers to stop using the flagged items and to buy only products that show sanitary registration on the label, extending a recent crackdown that last month pulled an unregistered OFF! repellent.
