Angels Fire Pitching Coach Mike Maddux, Two Assistants

  • The Angels relieved pitching coach Mike Maddux, bullpen coach Dom Chiti and assistant pitching coach Darryl Scott of their duties on Tuesday, Aug. 11, and named Tim Leveque interim pitching coach and Michael Wuertz interim bullpen coach.
  • Mozeliak said his decision followed conversations with manager Kurt Suzuki and players and that he saw inconsistent use of available technology and data by the pitching staff.
