Angel Stadium Closes One Concession After Inspectors Find Rodent Droppings

Reopening depends on a clean reinspection after pest abatement, deep cleaning, sealed entry points.

Overview

  • County health inspectors, in a Wednesday check, closed the View Level/Section 432 stand after finding rodent droppings in five spots and a ceiling hole larger than a quarter inch.
  • The county suspended the stand’s permit and ordered pest control, full cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and floors, and sealing of gaps over 1/4 inch until conditions are corrected.
  • The Angels say they cleaned the area with their concession partner and expect a reinspection before Friday’s homestand, calling it the only one of nearly 160 concessions affected.
  • A team spokesman said no activity was found in food preparation areas, with evidence limited to under a storage rack and near a water heater.
  • Records show the stand last passed inspection on June 25, 2025, and the team previously blamed mid-2000s vermin issues on the park’s open-air design and proximity to the Santa Ana River.
