Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s Ex-Aide Will Speak to Police as New DOJ Epstein Photos Emerge

The cooperation offer follows his February arrest, with UK officers pursuing a misconduct-in-public-office investigation linked to his time as trade envoy.

Overview

  • Charlotte Manley, who served as Andrew’s assistant and later private secretary and treasurer from 1996 to 2003, said she would prefer to speak to police about her time working for him.
  • Reports say Manley signed a £75 cheque in June 2000 from a Buckingham Palace account to pay a South African masseuse for a visit arranged by Ghislaine Maxwell.
  • The masseuse, Monique Giannelloni, has previously described attending Buckingham Palace and said Andrew returned from the bathroom nude before the massage, while adding he was otherwise gentlemanly.
  • The U.S. Department of Justice has released Epstein files that include photos showing a man resembling Andrew with young women, part of roughly 180,000 newly published images; Andrew denies wrongdoing.
  • Thames Valley Police arrested Andrew on Feb. 19 and detained him for about 10–11 hours before releasing him under investigation, and King Charles stated that the law must take its course with full royal cooperation.
