Overview
- Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu launched the programme in Amaravati and rode with beneficiaries from Mangalagiri to Penumaka in a symbolic rollout.
- Eligibility extends to people with 40% or more disability across 21 categories, with attendants receiving a 50% fare concession.
- Zero-fare travel applies to City Ordinary, Metro Express, Palle Velugu, Ultra Palle Velugu and Express services, while premium, inter-State and non-stop buses retain 50% concessions.
- Digital QR passes will be issued via the Mana Mitra WhatsApp platform and the APSRTC mobile app, with support at 134 APSRTC counters statewide.
- The state expects about 12.76 lakh beneficiaries as access rolls out on roughly 7,264 buses, covering nearly 73% of the APSRTC fleet.
