Andhra Pradesh DISCOMs Lifted to 'B' in PFC Rankings After Efficiency Gains

Officials credit targeted reforms aligned with the RDSS for the improvement.

The 14th Annual Integrated Rating and Ranking by PFC upgraded APCPDCL and APSPDCL from grade C to B.
Collection efficiency rose to 99.26% from 94.91%, while AT&C losses fell to 7.90% from about 12%.
State measures included tighter billing and collection, enhanced monitoring, and focused loss-reduction initiatives.
Energy Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar said the NDA government’s reforms enabled the stronger national ratings.
The government announced a plan to strengthen DISCOM finances and to reduce tariffs by Rs 1.19 per unit over three years.
