Andhra Pradesh Details ‘Swarnandhra 2047’ Push With Central Funds, Airport Overhaul and AI Service Pledges

The state cast fresh central allocations as validation of its long-horizon growth plan.

  • Union Civil Aviation Minister K. Ram Mohan Naidu in Visakhapatnam promoted a region-wise strategy for Uttarandhra, listing Bhogapuram Airport, Mulapeta Port, a steel plant, a data centre and hospitality projects.
  • The minister pointed to recent central support, including ₹6,000 crore for Polavaram and ₹12,000 crore for the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, and outlined plans to modernise 14 airports so most residents are within two hours of air travel while expanding ports.
  • The Chief Minister pledged to roll out digital health cards along with AI services — an AI doctor, an AI agronomist and an AI tutor — targeting delivery within a year as planned initiatives.
