Overview
- The December 2 order permits transfer of 480 acres across Visakhapatnam and Anakapalli to Adani Infra for AI data centre development, subject to surveys and possession formalities.
- Raiden Infotech India, a Google company leading the project, named Adani group entities and Bharti Airtel’s Nxtra units as notified partners for delivery.
- The state recorded over Rs 87,500 crore in phased investment and about Rs 22,000 crore in incentives, with Raiden seeking authorisation for its partners to also avail the incentives.
- The facility is planned at 1 GW capacity to Google-grade standards and is expected to draw power comparable to nearly half of Mumbai’s annual electricity use at full operation.
