Amit Shah Inaugurates Patanjali’s 250-Bed Integrated Emergency Hospital in Haridwar

Patanjali describes the new facility as the world’s first ‘hybrid’ hospital blending yoga, Ayurveda and naturopathy with modern acute care.

Overview

  • During a two-day visit to Patanjali Yogpeeth, Amit Shah inspected the hospital, called it a hybrid facility, and held discussions with Swami Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna on promoting traditional systems.
  • The hospital lists 24×7 emergency and trauma care, a high-end ICU with ventilator support and critical-care ambulances, and capacities for heart, brain and spine surgeries.
  • Cardiology services include a cath lab with coronary angiography, angioplasty and stent implantation, as well as pacemaker and ICD procedures, alongside dialysis and round-the-clock MRI, X-ray and ultrasound.
  • Patanjali leaders say Ayurveda and yoga will be the primary therapies with allopathy used as optional support, and they emphasize conservative care with surgeries only when necessary.
  • The organization cites EMR data for 1.38 crore people and claimed research tie-ups with around 10 AIIMS institutes and roughly 25 international centers, while Balkrishna said they have treated 38 lakh people and pledged low-cost, round-the-clock services.
