AMFI Data Show Rs 94,530 Crore February Inflow as Equity Buying Rises and Gold ETF Demand Cools

The data signal a rotation toward equities, away from gold.

Overview

  • Industry assets under management reached about Rs 82.03 lakh crore at February’s close.
  • Equity schemes recorded Rs 25,978 crore in net inflows, an increase of roughly 8% from January.
  • Mid-cap and small-cap funds drew Rs 4,003 crore and Rs 3,881 crore, and sectoral/thematic inflows climbed to Rs 2,987 crore.
  • Debt categories posted Rs 42,106 crore in net inflows, led by Rs 59,077 crore into liquid funds, though totals were lower than in January.
  • Gold ETF inflows moderated to about Rs 5,255 crore from January’s Rs 24,040 crore, and monthly SIP contributions were Rs 29,845 crore, up 15% year on year.
