Overview
- American Airlines has extended its suspension of all flights to Ben-Gurion Airport through at least March 2027, with one-way availability on the JFK–Tel Aviv route not showing up until early April 2027.
- The carrier has also canceled service to Doha through at least January 2027 and posts a waiver that lets affected passengers request refunds or change travel without fees.
- American has not flown the JFK–Tel Aviv route since the October 2023 attacks and a planned March 2026 relaunch, including a Los Angeles–Tel Aviv route, did not take place.
- Competing U.S. carriers Delta and United have paused or scaled back Israel service at times but have been reported to expect resumptions before the end of 2026, creating divergent return timetables.
